A certificate of completion is not a state license.

In most states you also need a cosmetology or esthetics license to work on clients for pay. Check with your state board before you enroll; Gaby can tell you what to ask.

Your instructor

Gaby Trejo teaches every class

Gaby teaches in Spanish and moves to English when a student asks. She sits beside you at the bench, checks each lash you place and shows the next one before you ask.

She is a licensed esthetician and works with clients in the same room where she teaches.

Your first class day

  1. 01

    Step 1: What to bring

Your tweezers, if you have a pair; the practice kit is on your bench. Wear comfortable clothes, and no eye makeup if you will be the model.

  2. 02

    Step 2: When you arrive

Come ten minutes before 9 a.m. Parking is in the lot behind the building on McHenry Avenue. Ring at Suite 6 and Gaby lets you in.

  3. 03

    Step 3: What to expect

Gaby starts with the tools and how to hold them, then you practice on a mannequin. The last hours are for a live model, with Gaby beside you.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Afterward

Gaby sends you home with notes on what to practice and how to book a retake day or your next class. You receive a certificate of completion.

Request a date

Tell Gaby which class you want and when you can come. She writes back by text or email, in Spanish or English.

This form takes no payment. A deposit holds your place on the booking page.

Before you ask for a date

Do I need experience?

Not for the classic class. Volume fans ask that you already place classic extensions with confidence, and Gaby will tell you where to start.

Will a class let me work on clients for pay?

A certificate of completion shows what you studied. To be paid for lash services in most states you also need a license from your state board. The licensing page lists what to ask.

Is the class really in Spanish?

Yes. Gaby teaches in Spanish and answers in English whenever you ask.

How do I hold a date?

Send a request. Gaby replies with the open dates, and a deposit on the booking page holds your place and goes toward your class.

Where is the classroom?

In a small studio on McHenry Avenue in Modesto, with parking behind the building. Class days are Saturday and Sunday.
